Aww yeah, the console wars has begun once again! A lot of the features that the next-gen Sony platform were talked about last night as well as a lot of games. Also, the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was confirmed for the system this morning. Woo! IGN has the details.

Adblock Plus for Android came out yesterday and it disables banner, pop-up, and video ads. It also disables in-app ads.
“You gotta be fucking kidding me.” Is what I said until I installed the app. This a must have, get it now in the play store or here. Also, it works best with a rooted phone…blocking ads over wifi and 3G/4G.

Central Japan Railway Co. unveiled a new train that can reach 310 mph and can potentially even go faster than that…crazy.
NYC Payphone Evolves Into Touch Screen Tablet!!
That’s right, payphones in NYC are being replaced with touch screen information kiosks called “Smart Screens” around the city. They will be wired with internet access and free to users through local advertising. You will be able to use the screens to get information on local restaurants, stores, tourist attractions, and traffic updates. There will be 250 kiosks all together across the five boroughs that will be installed by the beginning of 2013.
It’s a new wave into the future and it’s super effective!!

Wireless Charging Slowly Becoming Mainstream
It seems like wireless charging is going to be the new wave of the future when it comes to phones. We already have 3 new phones Droid DNA, Nokia’s Lumia 920, and LG’s Nexus 4 that have adopted the technology and companies like Starbucks placing power mats into locations in Boston. Madison Square Garden has also started making use of the tech.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the iPhone after next will include the ability to do that with NFC. It looks like it will get to the point where you won’t need to connect your iPhone to the PC at all to charge or add apps/music/video to it.
To validate my cnet use, I find they aren’t Apple biased like the folks at Gawker. I mean I like iOS, but there is much more out there when it comes to tech.

Sooo yeah, an Apple press conference is happening today at 10AM PDT/1PM EST. All the speculators are saying they are going to announce the iPad Mini. Just in time to trounce all over the Microsoft Surface’s launch.
Question is…do we really need an iPad Mini? I guess if you have small hands and like to look at your tablet on the train or something while standing up…yeah. Otherwise…not really.
I feel like the plot of every Apple press conference can be summed up in a few words: Hey guys, buy more of our shit!!
